A word about the washing-up

Can I say something, and you promise not to take it badly?

That is an alarming way to start, but go on.

The washing-up. It sits for two or three days, and then I do it, and then neither of us mentions it.

I did not realise you were the one doing it every time.

That is sort of my point. It is invisible until somebody stops.

Fair enough. What if whoever cooks does not wash up, and the other one does it the same evening?

That would work for me. The same evening is the important part.

Agreed. And say something next time after one day, not three.
